Sending Holiday Cards to the people I love
A few months after I graduated college in 2015, I slowly realized I probably wouldn’t be able to see my close friends due to distance, time, and money. Working at a job while trying to pay off student loans and paying rent was hard enough, it was impossible to go out and hang out with friends who are in different states and countries. To me, a text, a direct message, an email doesn’t go far. My best friend and I always sent letters to each other since high school, so I decided to do a little illustration of myself and a holiday character, write a note and send it to everyone I care about. To show that I am thinking about them. I’ve kept it as an annual tradition ever since.
